274 degrees puts the S2 a clear step above the S1 without going all the way to the S3, and that extra duration shifts where the engine does its best work: less emphasis on the first few thousand rpm, considerably more once the turbo is awake. It suits a 4G63 that has already outgrown its stock breathing, where the limit has become how long the valves stay open rather than how much boost the turbo can make. Billet cores keep the profile consistent lobe to lobe.
