Carrillo Pro-A 4G63 Rods with 3/8 WMC Bolts (Special Order)
A set of four premium forged Carrillo connecting rods for the 4G63T. The Pro-A uses Carrillo's A-beam profile, the lightest of the three designs, aimed at high-performance builds where reducing reciprocating weight is the priority. Supplied with the standard 3/8 WMC fastener. This part is a special-order item.
Specifications
- Material: Carrilloy proprietary chrome-nickel-moly-vanadium VAR alloy, mar-aged heat treated, forged and fully machined (length 5.906 in, 21mm full-floating wrist pin).
- Beam: Pro-A (A-beam). The lightest beam in the range, best for high-performance applications that prioritize low rotating mass and rpm response over the maximum-load capacity of the H-beam.
- Fastener: 3/8 WMC (H11 tool steel) bolt. The standard Carrillo fastener at roughly 220k psi ultimate tensile strength, good for 800-plus wheel horsepower.
Why it matters on your Evo 1-3
When you build a boosted 6-bolt 4G63T, the factory rods are the limit. The Pro-A gives you a forged Carrillo upgrade with the lowest reciprocating weight of the family, which can sharpen throttle response and spool on a high-revving Evo build. Paired with the WMC bolt it suits strong street and track power. Choose this set when light weight is the goal; note it is a special-order rod, so expect a longer lead time than the stocked Pro-H and Pro-SA options.
Fitment
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I, II and III (CD9A / CE9A), 1992 to 1995. Built for a 6-bolt 4G63 (21mm wrist pin). The 6-bolt swap is a common engine build path for the early Evo chassis.
