Paired here with the upgraded 3/8 CARR fastener, this is the version built for the highest power and rpm targets.

- Material: Carrilloy proprietary chrome-nickel-moly-vanadium VAR alloy, mar-aged heat treated, forged and fully machined (length 5.906 in, 21mm full-floating wrist pin).
- Beam: Pro-H (H-beam). The versatile choice that balances rigidity and low weight, well suited to street and race turbo 4G63 builds.
- Fastener: 3/8 CARR multiphase (MP35N) bolt. The premium option with roughly 285k psi ultimate tensile strength, reusable when installed by the stretch method, and the right call for engines that rev hard or push the biggest numbers.
Why it matters on your Evo 1-3
The factory 6-bolt 4G63T rods become a known weak point once you raise boost and chase big power. Swapping to forged Carrillo rods removes that ceiling. The Pro-H beam handles the cylinder pressure and load reversals of a heavily boosted 4G63, while the CARR bolt option gives the fastener headroom to support 1000-plus wheel horsepower and sustained high-rpm operation. This is the set to choose when you are building for serious power and want margin to spare.
Fitment
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I, II and III (CD9A / CE9A), 1992 to 1995. Built for a 6-bolt 4G63 (21mm wrist pin). The 6-bolt swap is a common engine build path for the early Evo chassis.
