ARP Harmonic Balancer Bolt Kit for the 4G63

A high strength ARP crankshaft balancer bolt that locks the harmonic balancer to the crankshaft snout with far more clamping force than the factory bolt. It keeps the balancer indexed and secure as the crankshaft flexes and twists under load.

Specifications

• Material: Chromoly steel with black oxide finish
• Tensile strength: 200,000 psi
• Thread: 14mm x 1.50
• Head: Extra tall 19mm 12-point head that accepts a deep socket and resists stripping
• Includes: Bolt and a thick wide area washer

Why it matters on your Evo 1-3

The harmonic balancer absorbs huge amounts of kinetic energy as the boosted 4G63 crankshaft flexes. A loose or under-clamped balancer can walk on the crank snout, throw off ignition timing, and lead to expensive crankshaft and timing damage. This ARP bolt holds the balancer firmly in position, which is cheap insurance on any turbo 4G63.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I, II and III (CD9A / CE9A), 1992 to 1995. 7-bolt 4G63T 2.0L turbo. Fits 2.0L 4G63 DOHC applications.
