SPEC Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel — 4G63 7-bolt, Evo 1/2/3
Aluminum is the light end of the flywheel argument. With less rotating mass to accelerate, the 4G63 climbs the tach noticeably faster and gear changes land quicker, and the cost is some of the inertia that carries the car away from a standstill. If your CD9A or CE9A sees back roads and track days, it is an easy win; if it lives in stop-start traffic, plan on a little more clutch work at low speed.
Look SD37A up and it will come back against the 1993–1999 7-bolt DSM cars rather than the Evo 1/2/3 by name. That is expected. Those Eclipse GSX and Eagle Talon models carry the same 7-bolt 4G63 and transmission mounting as the Evo 1/2/3, which was sold only in Japan and so has no North American listing of its own.
