ACT 6-Pad Sprung Race Clutch Disc — Evo 1/2/3 (4G63 7-bolt)
Six ceramic pads and a spring-centered hub: race-disc bite without the full violence of the rigid 4-pad. Engagement is still harsher than an organic street disc and shifts land faster, but the torsional damping springs take the shock out of the driveline, and ACT selects spring sizes and rates to suit the application rather than fitting one generic set.
Spreading friction across six pads spreads heat as well, which is why ACT recommends this layout on larger clutch diameters and for smoother engagement. Like every 7-bolt 4G63 disc it is cataloged against the North American Eclipse GSX and Talon of 1993 to 1999, the cars that share the Evo 1/2/3 driveline; the Evo itself was sold only in Japan.
