ACT MaXX/Race Sprung 6-Pad Clutch Kit — Evo 1/2/3 (4G63 7-bolt)
The disc in this kit is the same 6-pad spring-centered race unit supplied in the XT/Race kit, MB1-XTG6. What changes is the cover. ACT builds the MaXX pressure plate for the serious enthusiast, using its exclusive diaphragm approach to raise clamp load, cut deflection and extend clutch life, with the same four-stage heat treatment and precision cover stamping throughout.
In the car it behaves as a sprung puck clutch should: firm, quick to shift, hard ceramic bite, with the spring center soaking up torsional shock instead of passing it to the gearbox. The 7-bolt 4G63 in a CD9A or CE9A is cataloged through the 1993–1999 DSM applications, which is why an Evo part comes to you wearing an Eclipse or Talon name.
