GSC Billet S1 Camshafts. 4G63, Evo 4 to 8

The S1 is the first step up from stock in GSC's billet range, and it is the one to pick when the car still has to behave in traffic. More lift and duration than the factory grind means the head keeps feeding the engine past the point where a stock cam runs out, but not so much that idle turns lumpy or the bottom end goes hollow. On a car with a mildly upgraded turbo it is often the change that makes everything else finally work together.

• On Evo 4 to 7, plan for the Evo 8 cam trigger wheel and bolt, or modification of the existing wheel to accept the larger bolt
