Manley valve spring and retainer kit — 16V DOHC 4G63 / 4G63T valvetrain

Cams get the attention, but springs are what decide whether the head survives the RPM you are asking for. Once an Evo 1/2/3 runs a higher-lift camshaft or a raised rev limit, tired factory springs stop closing the valves cleanly, the follower loses contact with the lobe, and valve float takes the valvetrain apart in short order. This Manley kit supplies matched springs and retainers together so the assembly is set up as a pair rather than a spring dropped under old hardware. Note before ordering: valve locks are not included, so plan to reuse yours or source them separately.
