Tru-Time Adjustable Cam Gear, Black — AEM 23-830BK for the 4G63T

An adjustable cam gear lets you advance or retard camshaft timing on the 7-bolt 4G63T in one-degree steps without pulling a camshaft. That is how you get the timing relationship back after the head has been milled, how you dial in aftermarket cams, and how a tuner reshapes the powerband — trading a little top end for earlier spool, or the other way round — using parts the car already has. Laser-etched marks mean you can see exactly what you set, and the black hard-anodized finish keeps it discreet once the covers go back on.

• CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, with hard-anodized gear teeth
• Adjustable in 1-degree increments, advance or retard, via laser-etched timing marks
