Carrillo Pro-SA 4G63 Rods with 3/8 WMC Bolts
A set of four premium forged Carrillo connecting rods for the 4G63T. The Pro-SA, or Super-A, is a refined A-beam profile that bridges the gap between the heavier-duty Pro-H and the lighter Pro-A. It trims reciprocating weight while keeping ample strength, making it a smart choice for a responsive, high-revving boosted build. Fitted here with the standard 3/8 WMC fastener.
Specifications
- Material: Carrilloy proprietary chrome-nickel-moly-vanadium VAR alloy, mar-aged heat treated, forged and fully machined (length 5.906 in, 21mm full-floating wrist pin).
- Beam: Pro-SA (Super-A). A lightweight A-beam design positioned between the Pro-H and Pro-A, giving a strong yet lighter rod that favors quicker spool and rpm response.
- Fastener: 3/8 WMC (H11 tool steel) bolt. The standard Carrillo fastener at roughly 220k psi ultimate tensile strength, good for 800-plus wheel horsepower and suited to most builds.
Why it matters on your Evo 1-3
Once you build a 6-bolt 4G63T, the stock rods cannot keep up. The Pro-SA gives you forged Carrillo strength while shaving rotating mass compared with the H-beam, which helps a boosted 4G63 spool and respond. With the WMC bolt it is well matched to strong street and track power levels. Choose this set when you want a lighter, sharper-feeling bottom end without giving up real durability.
Fitment
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I, II and III (CD9A / CE9A), 1992 to 1995. Built for a 6-bolt 4G63 (21mm wrist pin). The 6-bolt swap is a common engine build path for the early Evo chassis.
