Cometic 4B11 Multi-Layer Steel Head Gasket, 88mm Bore, 0.40". Evo X
A multi-layer steel gasket seals differently to the composite item it replaces: thin steel layers with embossed beads press against the head and block and keep springing back as the engine expands and contracts, so the seal survives thousands of heat cycles rather than being crushed once. On a 4B11 pushed past standard boost that resilience is the whole point, because cylinder pressure is what lifts a gasket in the first place. This one is listed with an 88mm bore.
